The 98%
Problem

Blockchain infrastructure built for the people who think crypto is a scam.

Pre-Seed  ·  Infrastructure / Consumer Web3  ·  April 2026
The Problem

The Industry Burned the Trust.
We're Rebuilding It.

98%

of people surveyed across 150 coffee shops & venues associate blockchain with scams

Wrong Direction

Bitcoin and Ethereum swung for finance, the hardest market on earth, and lost the public in the process. The rest followed.

AGI Has No Home

AGI that runs on centralized servers is not AGI: it's a subscription. No existing chain is built to handle trustless compute, storage, and contributor rewards together.

Privacy Isn't Free

They trained on your data, stored your prompts, and throttled your results. You're the product. Not the user.

The Insight

Math Doesn't Lie. The Industry Did.

WHAT CRYPTO BECAME

  • Finance-first speculation. Often traded endlessly but used by nobody.
  • Inaccessible to anyone without a terminal.
  • People treat crypto as asset, not cash; Satoshi wrote peer-to-peer digital cash. The industry forgot.
  • Justin Sun bought a banana duct-taped to a wall for $6.2M. Bored Apes went to zero. NFTs burned the last credibility crypto had.
  • 95% of UCLA non-tech students don't know what a terminal is.

WHAT SUM RESTORES

  • Utility-backed, real-world anchored chain.
  • Consumer UX: anyone can use it, Day 1.
  • Math is the trust. Not people.
  • Proof of Contribution rewards real builders.
  • Education-first: make them use it, then they keep it.
"Blockchain asks people to trust math, not people." — Satoshi's original promise.
Why Now

The Window Is Open. It Won't Stay Open.

Data Breaches Are Accelerating

MOVEit, National Public Data, PowerSchool — centralized databases are failing at scale. 1.7 billion records exposed in 2024 alone. The architecture has no recovery path.

Federal Funding Is Being Cut

Institutions are asked to do more with less. Legacy vendors like Parchment charge $3–$8 per transcript pull. Schools need cheap, verifiable alternatives built on infrastructure that can't be breached.

AI Compute Demand Is Exploding

GPU cloud costs rose 30%+ YoY. Privacy-first institutions — hospitals, law firms, universities — cannot send sensitive data to OpenAI or AWS. They need verifiable, on-chain compute.

Web3 Infrastructure Investment Is Back

Blockchain infrastructure pre-seed and seed rounds are the dominant deal type in 2025. a16z Crypto closed a $2.2B fund focused on turning crypto infrastructure into everyday products.

SUMail: Web3 That Feels Like Web2

SUMail — Academic Transcript Spring 2025
Tadris — Courses overview

Verifiable Credentials On-Chain

Employment records, transcripts, degrees: issued, signed, and verified on SUM Chain. Encrypted content via our token standards: SRC-201 (mail), SRC-810 (transcript) · SRC-811 (degree/diploma) · SRC-812 (enrollment) · SRC-882 (employment). Built with privacy, encrypted by design.

No Honeypot. No Single Point of Failure.

Centralized databases are honeypots by design — a single breach exposes millions of records stored in one place, by one party, with one point of failure. On SUM Chain, credentials are tamper-proof the moment they're written. MPC and zero-knowledge proofs mean sensitive data is never exposed — not even to us. There is nothing to hack.

Canvas Went Down, We Went Up

We ship FAST. SUMaillet is live on the Chrome Web Store. Self-custodial signing: your keys, your mail, your chain. Tadris was shipped and connected to our infrastructure just days after the Canvas outage. Tested with 32 UCLA students with zero blockchain background — onboarded Day 1. The bar: if your cat can use it, it ships.

Market & Competition

Massive Markets. No One Has Built the Full Stack.

Decentralized AI Compute

$900B+ TAM $73-100B SAM $400M SOM
Render Network — GPU rendering only. No storage, no identity, no consumer layer.
Akash — General compute marketplace. No AI-specific orchestration, no credential system.

Decentralized Storage

$150B+ TAM $3.6B SAM $180M SOM
Filecoin — Storage deals only. No identity, no compute, poor consumer UX.
Arweave — Permanent storage. No credentials, no compute, no application layer.

Web3 Consumer Apps

$30-50B TAM $17.9B SAM $120M SOM
Parchment / NSC — Centralized transcript vendor. $3–$8 per pull. Single point of failure.
Ceramic — Decentralized data model. No storage network, no compute, no consumer product.

Every competitor solves one piece. SUM is the only full-stack — identity, storage, compute, and consumer apps — unified on one chain, accessed through one identity.

Token & Revenue Model

One Token. Utility-Backed. Not Speculation.

Backed by Demand

Every SRC standard is backed by utility: credentials verified, data stored, compute delivered. Not speculation — demand.

Credential Fees

To send a transcript or official document on SUM Chain, the sender pays the fee in SRC tokens. Institutions pay flat pricing to issue credentials on-chain. Free for students to receive and share. Replaces Parchment's $3–$8 per pull.

Storage Revenue

SNIP charges per GB stored on the decentralized network. Contributors earn SRC tokens for providing storage capacity. Clients pay SRC to store and retrieve tamper-proof data.

Compute Margin

OmniNode takes a protocol fee on AI inference jobs routed through the network. GPU/CPU contributors earn SRC proportional to verified work delivered.
